How to Tell a Cabinet Maker
From a Cabinet Seller

Most companies that sell custom cabinetry do not own a workshop. They take your measurements, place an order with a factory, and arrange a fitter. There is nothing dishonest about that, but it changes what you can ask for and what happens when something is wrong.

We cut, assemble and finish in our own Orlando shop. That is why a run can be built to an odd width without becoming a special order, why a change mid-build is a conversation rather than a new order, and why the person who comes back to adjust a door is the person who hung it.

If you are comparing quotes, the useful question is simply: do you make these yourselves, and can I see where? Ask it of everyone you speak to. The answer sorts the field quickly.

Working With the Shop, Step by Step

consultation

Step 1: Tell Us About the Room

Send the room, roughly what it needs to hold, and photographs if you have them. We will come back with questions and an honest sense of cost before anyone visits.

design

Step 2: We Measure Properly

Including the parts that are not square. Most problems on a cabinetry job trace back to a measurement nobody checked.

materials

Step 3: A Drawing You Approve

You see exactly what will be built and where every door and drawer falls. Nothing is cut until you are happy with it.

Step 4: Built in Our Shop

Your cabinetry is cut, assembled and finished here in Orlando, which is why the timeline is measured in weeks rather than in shipping schedules.

Step 5: Installed and Adjusted

Our own team fits it and adjusts everything on site, then clears up properly and shows you how it works.

A Real Shop, Not a Showroom

Everything Happens Here

Cutting, edge banding, assembly, finishing and quality checks all take place in our own Orlando shop. Nothing is drop-shipped and nothing is subcontracted to a third party.

Speak to the Person Building It

You are not passed between a salesperson, a factory and a fitter. The shop that takes the measurement is the shop that shows up to install.

Come and See It

If you are choosing between quotes, ask to see where the work is done. We would rather you visited than took our word for it, and very few companies quoting against us can offer the same.

Why It Matters Who Builds It

Glass front display cabinetry by Mastery Cabinetry Orlando

Odd Rooms Are the Normal Case

Old walls are rarely square, ceilings slope, and a chimney breast is never where you would put it. Building to measure is how those rooms get finished properly instead of filled with panels.

Changes Cost Less Before the Cut

You approve a drawing before material is committed. Catching something there costs a conversation. Catching it after a factory order costs money.

One Company Is Accountable

When the maker and the installer are the same company there is nobody to point at. That matters most on the last day of the job, which is the day that decides how the work looks.

From the Bench to Your Room

The same team from first measurement to final adjustment.

We measure, produce a drawing you approve, build it here in Orlando, then deliver and install it ourselves. Every door and drawer is adjusted on site, because the last hour of a job is what decides whether cabinetry looks built in or bolted on.

Quality Worth the Investment

We focus on quality in everything we do. This includes choosing materials, using techniques, and maintaining high standards. Still, we remain transparent about cost. The investment scales with the size and complexity of the design. The cost for a custom wall unit typically falls within the range of $10,000 to upwards of $15,000. No matter the cost, all our cabinets are made with high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship.

Custom Cabinets in Weeks, Not Months

Our standard timeline for custom cabinetry typically spans from 4 to 8 weeks. This time frame allows us to meticulously design and craft cabinets that align with your unique preferences. Project complexity can impact delivery schedules, but each day we invest shows our commitment to surpassing your expectations.

FAQ

Do you actually make the cabinets yourselves?

Yes. Cutting, assembly and finishing happen in our own Orlando workshop, and our own team installs. We are a cabinet maker rather than a reseller, which is the main practical difference between us and most companies quoting the same job.

Can I visit the workshop?

Yes, and we would encourage it if you are comparing quotes. Seeing where the work is done tells you more about a cabinet maker than any brochure.

What do you build besides kitchens?

Closets, pantries and laundry rooms, wall units and built-ins, home office cabinetry, bathroom vanities and commercial casework and millwork. If it is cabinetry and it has to fit a specific space, it is our work.

How long does a project take?

Most residential projects run about 4 to 8 weeks from approved drawing to installation, depending on the size of the run and the materials. Commercial work is quoted against your schedule.
